Comprehensive livelihood and entrepreneurship programs empowering marginalized women through vocational training, SHG strengthening, financial literacy, and sustainable income-generation opportunities.
In partnership with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Accenture, Hope Ever Foundation Trust implemented comprehensive skill-building initiatives focused on empowering marginalized women through vocational training, entrepreneurship, and Self-Help Group (SHG) development.
The programs provided practical training in tailoring, beautician work, mehendi application, and agarbatti-packing, helping women develop sustainable livelihood skills and access income-generating opportunities.
Alongside technical training, women participated in leadership development, financial literacy workshops, and SHG capacity-building activities that strengthened their confidence and decision-making abilities.
During the 2022β23 program cycle, more than 85 women received tailoring training, with nearly half securing formal employment or establishing home-based enterprises.
The initiatives also facilitated access to financial resources and community networks. SHGs mobilized loans and seed capital to support the establishment of micro-businesses, ensuring long-term financial sustainability beyond the training period.
Through these interventions, women not only gained technical expertise but also developed entrepreneurial skills, exposure to market opportunities, and greater economic independence.
The cumulative impact has been significant: womenβs contribution to household income increased, their participation in family decision-making strengthened, and communities increasingly recognized women as active economic contributors and community leaders.
